10 Meetups On Toto Asia You Should Attend

The Band Toto Asia

Toto expanded its production facilities abroad, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an opportunity to grow for bidet and washlet toilet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words so that the next generation could be able to read the words. Many words were replaced with foreign words. For example dui, which is Bengali for verandah was being used.

Origins

The company was founded in 1917 and its beginnings mirrored Japan's development. In the early years of its existence, the company produced products to meet the demand for modern, contemporary urban housing. To do this, it employed the country's first tunnel kiln that produced ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered the use automation to control production, allowing for more efficiency and consistency.

The company began expanding overseas in the latter part of the 1980s to benefit from new markets and sales opportunities. The company founded the Cera Trading Company to import and distribute other products from other manufacturers in order to complement its own range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and expanded the firm's global market share.

In the 90s, Toto began to concentrate on research and development for water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better meet the needs of customers and boost profits. The company employed the same just-in time approach in its supply chain management as well as sales program. This led to a higher degree of customer satisfaction.

Toto continues to invent toilet technology. Its latest toilet, for instance, has a strong tornado flush that is more environmentally green than traditional toilets. The company also makes use of recycled water in its manufacturing process and has a green procurement policy. Toto also produces faucets, bathtubs and hand dryers with greater energy efficiency than standard models.

The company's first museum opened in the year 2015, and it has exhibitions on Toto's seminal products and their evolution, its group companies (all having to do with ceramics) and the history of plumbing and other products such as bath units, and in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum houses the bathroom equipped with a WASHLET and other toilet innovations.

Before forming Toto members of the group performed sessions with various musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also performed on albums by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

Discography

With a name like Asia you'd think that the group would be prog queens and kings - but it's actually a fairly straightforward rock band. The group was formed as a four-piece and released two albums in 1979, the self-titled debut album and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. However, even though the group have a wide range of musical backgrounds their biggest breakthrough was in 1982 with Toto IV.

The album was a major blockbuster, but not without its own set of issues. Record companies placed the band on the place with the directive "give us an album that's a smash or we'll sack you" and the pressure was on to give it. Toto was able to achieve this with the help from the hit song "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery is a result of their previous experiences. Before joining the group, the members worked as session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their sonic signature has since become the standard for '80s pop, and has influenced many modern artists.

The album begins with a hefty dose of hard rock with songs like Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write great AOR songs that slowly get their hooks into your mind. The album also contains slow, jazzier tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. The album closes with Great Expectations. This song blends folk and distortion AOR that could sound completely wrong but actually works very well.

After Toto IV the band's fortunes started to plummet. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band was through numerous drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the band after drug charges. The band continued to play with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.

Despite the chaos, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. The band was able to release an album that topped the charts, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the development of the group. Bobby Kimball's growing ability to play was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's work was sharper, more intricate, and less derivative than on previous efforts.

After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set titled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released a new studio album a few months after and then embarked on a world tour to help promote it. During this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.

In 1998, Paich and Lukather started looking through old demo tapes and tapes to make a new album featuring songs that were never recorded before.  메이저사이트  was released in 2001 as a double album titled Then & Now. It was the band's first album without the single track "A". The album also contained a previously unreleased track titled "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial failure and vocalist Williams was suffering from a severe laryngitis condition that limited his singing abilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming was replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.

Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the original members of Asia were in England early in 2006 to discuss the possibility that the group could be reformed. The lineup, which was minus Howe (who was working with Yes at the time) was later referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band featured a special guest appearance from singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
